Forever grateful

It was a year ago..... When I counted my Blessings like never before.....  " I was sitting with a blank paper in my hand getting ready to map out 2018. Then a thought on the outgoing year came flooding. It would be unfair on my side if I don't look back at 2017. Yes!!, it had been a hectic and stressful year. Somewhere I felt it more like a dream of summer midnight. The thought of travelling during monsoon, the undulating boulders, sleepy muddy roads and road blocks now and then still scares me. There had been a time when I cried to bed, cursing myself for what I was doing. However, somewhere the little self-trust within kept me alive. As September began, I remember sleeping among the books and papers flooding around me. Before I could at least enjoy a single summer day, fall has already rolled around. It's time of the year again!!!! Thank You 2018  for the memories, the lessons you have taught me and the simple joys that has marked some special days. Thank you for being here, for adding to the conversation, for reading the words and for enabling me to do what I love. Losar Greeting from eastern Bhutan

Its Losar time!!! It’s a family time!!! Today, the eve of new Bhutanese year, some are completely engaged in preparation, some are travelling to make it home and some are planning for a good game tomorrow, somehow this year, I chose to spent my Losar alone in the company of my books. I always had a good memory of celebrating Losar with my family and the new Bhutanese year is one festival very close to my heart. Holidays lined up, office looks empty and silent. I look around to see everyone in a holiday mood. I have already decided to spend the  week-long  vacation with my books. Indeed these holidays will turn out to be my reading week which I have always wanted. It would be unfair on my part if I say I don’t miss my family. Back home my families have already gathered for tomorrow and silently I miss everyone deeply and desperately. Never the less, the coming week sounds to be a perfect mini vacation for everyone.
