“An earnest Gratitude” on her Centenary Celebration …….

You have come a long way. You were 94th years old when I left. After 7 years, finally you are going to celebrate your 100th year; Centenary Celebration in 2013. It gives me utmost joy; happiness and excitement to pay my sincere and clean gratitude. It was my luck to be with you for six years. I feel very proud to be your generation. Thank you UDHSS.
Those were the days when I was with you and had the best time. It was a fine morning in early March of the year 2002 when I first met you, although I have seen you before. I was then a 13 year old girl. The first sight of you captured my innocent heart. You welcomed me with an open heart. Thank you UDHSS.
As I look back now, I could vividly remember that time with you. You gave me the world’s best friend; friends who are very rare on this planet. I have learnt to laugh, cry, love, play, etc… with the wonderful people you have given. I still remember your beautiful and plain campus where I have created loads of memories and where I have grown up. You are the one who taught me to be an honest and sincere person. You showed me how to tackle problems and handle them. I have learnt a lot from you. Still today I am just your reflection and I always wanted to keep your name high. Thank you UDHSS.
Today your words are my strength and I am truly privileged to encounter you in my journey of life. I know how much you have supported and guided me. You taught me to take responsibility which actually was one key lesson that I have learnt from you. You changed me into a human. Thank you UDHSS.
Today as you mark your centenary, I am very happy and overjoyed. By now you have 100th of generations. Though you are aged, but still your heart is juvenile and people will continue to be with you. You are a part of my life and my attachment with you is parallel to my beloved parents. Thank you for letting me to share a small space in your family. I am blessed to have a huge family. You are my home and will remain forever…. So, today is your day and I pray for all the success and may your light touch all the individual. With due respect and an open heart¸”Thank you for everything”. I will love you and keep seeing you. Congratulations for your 100th year. Happy and wonderful centenary celebration. Thank you with all my heart.

Every time you sit on the table for your meal, there is always a choice between kindnesses over cruelty. It’s never that easy to say no to meats. Sometime I just wonder how cruel we are; we never bothered to think over what is in our plate in front of us. There are some who cannot dine without a single meat menu and it has become a usual routine. In the present world, there are plenty of options and choices of foods for vegetarian. Why eat others, when we can’t bear the pain of a slightest cut on our body. This is just my thinking. In my case, it’s a different story. I never enjoyed eating meat. It doesn’t mean I am a religious or an animal lover. It was just a natural choice. I aren’t a vegetarian, I do eat dried meat like dry fish and Sikaam but not always. I haven’t tasted any other menu than those mentioned. A year ago I had bidden good bye to Sikaam and just a month ago I stopped the very appetitezer; dry fish. I find eggs too dirty to eat and that childhood notion has helped

The Winter Sun

I always had a fond memories with the winter sun. As December makes its way towards 2013,  I could feel the winter sun shining upon me. The winter sun always reminds me of my days back at Haa. The 1st of December, Sunday, I was outside my room in Mongar. The enormous and beautiful Sun was just above me and I was gazing the sun all alone... a nostalgic memories came flooding like a wild cataract. The warmth and feeling in the winter sun is very much different from the summer sun. The Happiness and excitement you feel in the morning when the sun rise and the sadness that touches your heart when the sun kisses the hills in the evening. The winter sun is always worth watching. Back at Haa,  despite the cold weather , winter is always fun. Our Local Festival Lomba and The snowfall lights up our winter days. A Girl with a Purple Scarf

“I was walking down a lonely street. Dusk has started to pull in. I could see flock of birds flying back to their nest. Everyone seemed to be settled in their cozy room. I walked, walked and walked till my vision captured a girl with a purple scarf. She wore a jeans and tee shirt. A beautiful purple scarf was wrapped on her neck.  I just wondered who could be that girl. She was humming a song….I walked towards her. We stared at each other’s face and then called out our names at our highest pitch…. “SONAM SONAM….PASSA PASSA…” the girl with purple scarf was none other than Sonam Xoonam. I opened my eye and found myself on my bed….  I just smiled and called her. It was a dream; I had a few years ago. I felt like I found my best buddy”…. Best friend Forever “Puencha”………. I fondly call her. I never had a thought of meeting her in my entire life. It just happened. After knowing this beautiful soul for more than five years I just feel I got the world’s best buddy.
