A Note from my diary .....

“I am so blessed to be born to you. Thank you for being my strength and confidence”.
She is simple, brave, serious and hardworking. A woman of her word; unlike my dad, mom talk less and does more. Today she is 57 years old and I proudly say that she is one of the most hardworking ladies I have ever seen in my entire life. She is a strict mom compared to my dad. She taught me to be disciplined and behave myself.

As a kid I have troubled her so much with my naughtiness and prank. I never bothered to lend her a hand. I am a pampered daughter of my mom. I’m thankful to my mom for breastfeeding me till I was five; actually that was too much but yeah! I was. She is sincere and cool. I respect her as an individual and for being such a great woman. She is a true inspiration.

I miss the way you scold me, the way you look at me when I do something wrong and of all I miss the food you cook for me. You have been a wonderful mom and I love you  with all my heart. You are the person in whom I found my life and on whom I can shower my love.  A thought of losing you scares me to death. I wish if I can make you stand by my side forever. A smile on your face means a lot to me. I may not have been a good daughter but I am trying my best to be the best of best daughter.
I am truly blessed to have you on my side as my guidance. Thank you mom for loving me immensely. I love you always and forever.

Every time you sit on the table for your meal, there is always a choice between kindnesses over cruelty. It’s never that easy to say no to meats. Sometime I just wonder how cruel we are; we never bothered to think over what is in our plate in front of us. There are some who cannot dine without a single meat menu and it has become a usual routine. In the present world, there are plenty of options and choices of foods for vegetarian. Why eat others, when we can’t bear the pain of a slightest cut on our body. This is just my thinking. In my case, it’s a different story. I never enjoyed eating meat. It doesn’t mean I am a religious or an animal lover. It was just a natural choice. I aren’t a vegetarian, I do eat dried meat like dry fish and Sikaam but not always. I haven’t tasted any other menu than those mentioned. A year ago I had bidden good bye to Sikaam and just a month ago I stopped the very appetitezer; dry fish. I find eggs too dirty to eat and that childhood notion has helped

The Winter Sun

I always had a fond memories with the winter sun. As December makes its way towards 2013,  I could feel the winter sun shining upon me. The winter sun always reminds me of my days back at Haa. The 1st of December, Sunday, I was outside my room in Mongar. The enormous and beautiful Sun was just above me and I was gazing the sun all alone... a nostalgic memories came flooding like a wild cataract. The warmth and feeling in the winter sun is very much different from the summer sun. The Happiness and excitement you feel in the morning when the sun rise and the sadness that touches your heart when the sun kisses the hills in the evening. The winter sun is always worth watching. Back at Haa,  despite the cold weather , winter is always fun. Our Local Festival Lomba and The snowfall lights up our winter days. A Girl with a Purple Scarf

“I was walking down a lonely street. Dusk has started to pull in. I could see flock of birds flying back to their nest. Everyone seemed to be settled in their cozy room. I walked, walked and walked till my vision captured a girl with a purple scarf. She wore a jeans and tee shirt. A beautiful purple scarf was wrapped on her neck.  I just wondered who could be that girl. She was humming a song….I walked towards her. We stared at each other’s face and then called out our names at our highest pitch…. “SONAM SONAM….PASSA PASSA…” the girl with purple scarf was none other than Sonam Xoonam. I opened my eye and found myself on my bed….  I just smiled and called her. It was a dream; I had a few years ago. I felt like I found my best buddy”…. Best friend Forever “Puencha”………. I fondly call her. I never had a thought of meeting her in my entire life. It just happened. After knowing this beautiful soul for more than five years I just feel I got the world’s best buddy.
