MY OWN HAPPINESS

This is a post written by my Friend Tshewang Lhamo. Thank you for sharing with me and I just can’t stop posting it on my blog. Be happy always and I am happy that in your happiness and in your small world I share a part of me in it.
              
“Smile on my face, peace in my mind, good friends around me & lovely siblings. This is life, so I say! What can I ask more for, when I have everything I want, my own. I don’t say I am the happiest of all but I can say that I’m too much happy and contended in my own ways, in my own small world. Peacefully I sleep on my few inches of mattress until my alarm wakes me up. Eat till my belly says no and wear what I have, what suits me well and with what I am comfortable in. For now, I am in love with my World.
I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth and now I don’t live a king’s life, but happiness is always within me and I would dare not to lose this anymore. May be or may not be, but some people relate happiness to having everything and fulfilling all their unlimited desires and other worldly pleasures, whereas for me happiness comes with a peace within self, friends and family. In my own way, life is going well, I am happy and I could see people around me smiling. For now I can’t ask for a better life than this. I love my life and just too happy to be me”.

I always had a fond memories with the winter sun. As December makes its way towards 2013,  I could feel the winter sun shining upon me. The winter sun always reminds me of my days back at Haa. The 1st of December, Sunday, I was outside my room in Mongar. The enormous and beautiful Sun was just above me and I was gazing the sun all alone... a nostalgic memories came flooding like a wild cataract. My Journey to vegetarianism

Every time you sit on the table for your meal, there is always a choice between kindnesses over cruelty. It’s never that easy to say no to meats. Sometime I just wonder how cruel we are; we never bothered to think over what is in our plate in front of us. There are some who cannot dine without a single meat menu and it has become a usual routine. In the present world, there are plenty of options and choices of foods for vegetarian. Why eat others, when we can’t bear the pain of a slightest cut on our body. This is just my thinking. In my case, it’s a different story. I never enjoyed eating meat. It doesn’t mean I am a religious or an animal lover. It was just a natural choice. I aren’t a vegetarian, I do eat dried meat like dry fish and Sikaam but not always. I haven’t tasted any other menu than those mentioned. A year ago I had bidden good bye to Sikaam and just a month ago I stopped the very appetitezer; dry fish. I find eggs too dirty to eat and that childhood notion has helped

A Girl with a Purple Scarf

“I was walking down a lonely street. Dusk has started to pull in. I could see flock of birds flying back to their nest. Everyone seemed to be settled in their cozy room. I walked, walked and walked till my vision captured a girl with a purple scarf. She wore a jeans and tee shirt. A beautiful purple scarf was wrapped on her neck.  I just wondered who could be that girl. She was humming a song….I walked towards her. We stared at each other’s face and then called out our names at our highest pitch…. “SONAM SONAM….PASSA PASSA…” the girl with purple scarf was none other than Sonam Xoonam. I opened my eye and found myself on my bed….  I just smiled and called her. It was a dream; I had a few years ago. I felt like I found my best buddy”…. Best friend Forever “Puencha”………. I fondly call her. I never had a thought of meeting her in my entire life. It just happened. After knowing this beautiful soul for more than five years I just feel I got the world’s best buddy.
